Office 365 arrived and our files moved to the cloud.
Stripe processed its first payments.

Gangnam Style hit one billion views.
The Mayan end of the world never came.

Google started understanding whole questions, not just keywords.
“Selfie” was the word of the year.

With Google My Business, we stopped turning up at closed shops by mistake.
Windows XP retired.

Marty McFly arrived in the future.
Google started favouring mobile-friendly websites.

For the first time, more people browsed on phones than on computers.
Portugal became European champions, with Éder's goal.

Salvador Sobral won Eurovision.
Microsoft Teams: meetings found a home.

With GDPR, we said “I accept” more times than at a wedding.
Chrome called half the web “not secure” and everyone rushed to get SSL certificates.

Dark mode reached our phones and websites had to learn to go dark.
Foldable phones arrived; some broke in the first week.

We all stayed at home and learned to say “you're on mute”.
GA4 was born. Nobody paid attention until 2023.

Flash websites stopped opening.
TikTok overtook Google as the most visited website in the world.

ChatGPT: we started saying “thank you” to a machine.
Internet Explorer was switched off for good.

The old Google Analytics shut down and everyone had to move to GA4.

Keyboards got a new key, for AI: the first in 30 years.
We turned 20.

Iberian blackout: we all went to talk to the neighbours.

Today. We're still here.
The world has changed, but our enthusiasm hasn't.
